So far, I have only used three different brands of multiliners: Copic, Sakura, and Staedtler.
Copic multiliners have a delicate tip. You must be careful when using them. You don't have to use much pressure to get a good stroke. The flow of the ink is very controlable, so you can make smooth strokes. The ink doesn't bleed from holding the tip in one spot for a split second too long and it still has a nice smooth ink flow. My only issue is that the tip can sometimes dry too fast. I find that these pens are best for delicate work, not scribbling or harsh strokes.
Sakura liners have a much too delicate tip. The tips were too easily frayed, no matter how careful you were with them. However, they have a very nice and even ink flow, until the tip starts to fray..
Staedtler mutltiliners are my cheap pens. I don't use them for serious projects, but they are great for experimenting with. The tips are very sturdy and do not fray or bend eaily. However, the smaller tips have a terrible ink flow. I can barely get a smooth flow, let alone a smooth stroke. The bigger tips bleed too easily. I find that I have a hard time getting a smooth stroke when using any size. However, I do still love these pens when it comes to grungey work, doodling, or sketching, but if you can control the ink flow and pressure, they make beautiful smooth and delicate lines. It just takes much practice.
Don't expect all of them to have brush tips, only the BS and BM sized ones in this set have the brush tip. The others are normal nubs. If you are using the salt texture technique on watercolours make sure ALL the salt is gone before putting this pen on the paper for signatures or corrections ect. otherwise the tip will get a bit dry. Don't leave the caps off even if you'll only be gone for a little while. Over-all the pens are definitely worth their price and got to my house shortly. They work great and have a long life span if you know how to treat your supplies correctly. Definitely don't give them to little children though. The ink runs smoothly and the strokes feel nice against the paper, other pens I've had are kind of rough on strokes. Definitely a great buy.
(Another tip: If you're using coloured pencils and don't like super dark lines use the smallest ones and make very light strokes.)

Cons - As I said, not for the beginner because you can apply too much pressure and damage the nib. I used this "type" of liner from another professional brand previously for art that involved stencils and these have such a soft extended tip they really do not do stencil work and are much more for freehand drawing. Really an investment for the seasoned artist who will be using them for a long time. I would prefer better packaging as comparable sets have more than a simple plastic snap close bag.
