How to Draw Kawaii Paper Clips Step-by-step

How to draw kawaii paper clips step-by-step with easy tutorial

Can you ever have too much kawaii stationery? The only challenge is how to keep it organized! Well, how about today we DRAW some kawaii paper clips to get the same joy from seeing beautiful stationery, but without the challenge of keeping it all tidy.

I used a basic paper clip shape for this drawing, and then I added fun decorative “toppings” to it. You can do the same! This technique works great with kawaii animals, kawaii foods (pineapple would look super cute!), even kawaii flowers and plants.

Have fun and experiment. 😀 Let’s do this!

Drawing Tips for Kawaii Paper Clips

  • The overall shape of a paper clip looks like an oval, or a rectangle with rounded corners. Keep this shape in your mind’s eye as you draw, to help you quickly and accurately draw the paper clip (Step 1).
  • When you add your decoration, draw the outline of the head first. Make sure it sits in the right place on top of your paper clip before adding details, like face and ears.
  • Use different colors to make an ordinary paper clip into a kawaii paper clip! I picked bright pink, blue, and yellow to make this drawing happy and super kawaii.

Have so much fun with this drawing!
