This week I focused on drawing different patterns and textures to use in my kawaii drawings. 🙂
The patterns and textures below can be used to fill gaps in doodles, decorate kawaii characters, and add kawaii accessories. Hello polka dots!
This post documents Week 9 of the 6-month kawaii drawings challenge I gave myself.

There are so many different patterns and textures all around us. Now that I know how useful they are, I am seeing them all the time in my house and outside. For example, the skin of a pineapple has a nice rhomb texture. And the way the water surfaces changes makes a beautiful organic pattern.
Now when I see a pattern or texture I like, I sketch it in my drawing book. Or at least take a picture with my phone, so I can refer to it later. 🙂
Materials Used This Week
